When Your Best Was Never Enough—But Love Was Always There ❤️🩹
Healing the Past Begins With Seeing the Love Beneath the Pain
Have you ever felt like your best was never quite enough for your parents?
That no matter how much you achieved, how hard you tried, how much you gave of yourself…
There was always more you could’ve done. More you could’ve been.
It’s a lonely feeling.
And over time, it can harden into something quiet but heavy:
An inner voice that whispers, “You’re still not enough.”
But here’s the truth:
That voice didn’t start with you.
It started with them.
And it started long before them.
Most of our parents—and the generations before them—were never shown how to love themselves.
They were taught how to survive. How to be tough.
How to push through. Perform. Provide.
They were taught that emotions made you weak. That softness was unsafe.
That self-worth had to be earned.
So when they criticized, when they pushed too hard, when they withheld praise or love…
It wasn’t because you weren’t enough.
It was because they were terrified you might not make it.
That you might suffer like they did.
They wanted you to have a better life.
But they didn’t know how to give it with tenderness.
They loved you—many of them deeply—but didn’t know how to show it in ways that felt like love.
Because no one ever showed them.
And here’s the paradox:
Even if it was love, it often didn’t feel like love.
And that gap—the space between their intention and your experience—is where your wound was born.
We’re not just hurt by what they did…
We’re hurt by what they couldn’t do.
The words they never said.
The hugs they didn’t give.
The pride they couldn’t express.
And so we carry it.
The feeling of not being enough.
The drive to prove ourselves.
The fear of resting.
The guilt of letting go.
The exhaustion of living under invisible expectations.
But what if healing doesn’t mean waiting for them to change?
What if healing begins when you change how you carry the past?
Because here’s what Joe Dispenza discovered:
“When a person analyzes their problems within the emotions of the past, they make their brain worse… But if they can truly get beyond the emotion, they free themselves. If they trade fear, bitterness, and resentment for elevated emotions like gratitude and love—if they practice those feelings, breathe differently, and shift their attention—we’ve measured this in brain scans: the heart becomes coherent.”
“When the heart becomes coherent, it informs the brain that the trauma is over. The event is over. It resets the baseline. And now, when that person looks back at their past, they don’t see it from the same level of consciousness.”
In fact, many of them say:
“Oh my God… I needed to go through all of that to become who I am.”
“I wouldn’t change a thing.”
What Joe is describing isn’t just science—it’s soul work.
And it matches a deeper spiritual law:
🌀 The energy you hold toward your past determines what you're open to in the future.
When you cling to resentment, when you replay betrayal, when you live inside judgment—you don’t just block them out.
You block yourself.
From peace. From love. From a new way of being.
Judgment is a closed door.
Bitterness is heavy.
But forgiveness is magnetic.
Because when you say:
They taught me what I’ll no longer abandon in myself.
They were doing their best with broken tools.
They were mirrors. They were messengers.
And in their own way… they were guides.
…you alchemize pain into wisdom.
You open your heart again—not just to others, but to life.
Today’s Mantra:
I bless the past. I release the emotions that no longer serve me. I choose gratitude over resentment. I open my heart to divine love. And I know that every soul who crossed my path—even those who hurt me—was part of my awakening.
You don’t have to carry their story forever.
You don’t need their validation to be free.
You only need one thing:
The decision to return to yourself—with love.
And when your heart becomes coherent…
When you breathe deeper…
When you choose joy instead of judgment…
You signal to life: I’m ready now.
Ready to receive.
Ready to expand.
Ready to bless what once broke me.
Because that’s what healing does:
It makes space for love where pain used to live.
